Percival laughed "of course he did, explains a lot, you have his technique"

"Hopefully that doesn't make me predictable," Mordred smirked.

Percival shook "the opposite" he said swinging his sword down quickly,

Mordred winced he blocked the blow, the strength behind the strike jarring his arm. Instantly he dropped and attempted to kick out Percival's legs.

Percival jumped up and knocked Mordred over,

Mordred rolled away before clambering back to his feet. As he paused, catching his breath and waiting for the next attack, his vision blurred and pain stabbed through his chest for a brief moment before dulling to an ache. Frowning, he shook his head and lunged forward, feigning to the left before spinning to the right and behind Percival. He aimed a blow at the older man's side.

Percival jumped onto the ground and rolled around, away from the blade. He stood and circled behind Mordred and held his sword to mordred's neck. "I believe it's time to stop, your wife looks worried"

"I surrender," Mordred replied, pushing the blade away from his throat. Eyes gleaming, he added, "For now."

Percival laughed and sheathed his sword, "you did good"

Mythian was stalking up quickly, Ruth in her arms. "Mordred!" She called frantically. "Oh your hurt!" She exclaimed examining his arm,

"Not that well," Mordred shrugged. Turning to Mythian, he gently caught her hands. "Mythian, I'm alright. It's nothing more than a scratch."

Mythian shook her head. "Your bruised!"

"Mythian, I'm fine," Mordred reassured. "And what bruise?"

"It's here on the side of your face, when you fell..," Mythian stated stroking the side of his face.

Mordred leaned into her hand. "Don't worry so much, Myth. It'll heal."

Mythian sighed "But you were still hurt"

Mordred shrugged. "It's normal for a sparring match." Kissing her gently, he smiled at her. "Thank you for the concern though."

Mythian frowned "But does it not hurt?"

"Not really," Mordred replied. "I'm alright, Mythian."

Mythian looked down "We should go clean your cut,,,"/

"No arguments here," Mordred grinned. Bowing to Percival, he grinned. "Thank you for the match. I learned alright."

Percival laughed and bowed as well. "Have fun playing house with your wife"

Mordred glared at him briefly before leading Mythian away. "Next time please don't hover," he requested softly.

Mythian frowned "why not?

"It's a bit embarrassing," he admitted. "I can handle a few minor injuries. You can hover when we're alone, just not in front of others. Especially other warriors."

Mythian frowned. "but I care for you, why do you not want me around?"

"I want you around," Mordred clarified. "I don't want you fussing over small injuries unless we're alone." He kept his voice gentle. He wasn't mad, just embarrassed. The words "playing house" rang in his ears.

Mythian glared then stalked off ahead of him. "I'm going to our room." She said hurrying into the castle and up to their room.

"Mythian!" Mordred went after her. "Mythian, come on."

Mythian simply went faster, the moment she got to the room she slammed the door, but did not lock it. She set Ruth in her cradle then laid on she and Mordred's bed with her face in a pillow.

Cautious, Mordred entered the room. "Mythian, I wasn't trying to insult you. What's wrong?"
