Sham kissed her deeply then gently laid her on the bed

Eve responded to the kiss and gently wrapped her arms around his neck. (timeskip?)

(Yup, to the morning probably)
Sham laid beside her with his arm draped over his eyes, and his other arm around Eve,

Mythian was at a vanity brushing her hair.

Eve was snuggled close to his side, sleeping deeply.

Mordred glanced at her; he'd been up all night but there was a calmness to him that dismissed all exhaustion, a direct result of relaxing in his element. "You ready to meet with the king?" he asked.

Sham smiled at her.

Mythian turned around and nodded "yes, I am, are you? And where did you run off too all night?"

Eve yawned and curled closer, enjoying his warmth even when asleep.

Mordred winced. "You noticed?" Sighing, he joined her at the vanity and stole the brush, running it through his unruly hair. "I was relaxing at the arena. And I think I'm ready to see him."

Sham kissed her forehead

Mythian nodded "I notice all the time when you leave my side...it's cold, and your presence is just gone' Mythian said looking down for a moment before up again. 'I believe this visit will be good for us Mordred"

Eve's eyes fluttered open and she blinked tiredly at him. "Morning," she hummed.

"Sorry, Myth. I wasn't trying to cause trouble for you." Frowning, he considered her. "What makes you think this will be good for us?"

Sham smiled and kissed her "good morning"

Mythian shook her head "it was not trouble for me. I just have a feeling, he wouldn't have had you bring me and new borne baby girl if he planned something bad"

"How are you?" she yawned, petting his hair absently.

Mordred smiled. "True. Why don't we go find out?" he suggested, offering her his arm.

Sham grinned "perfect, how about you?"

Mythian stood but rather then taking his arm she walked around him and picked up Ruth. "We can go now"

Eve considered the question for several beats before smiling. "Amazing," she replied.

Mordred nodded and held the door open for her. "My best guess is that he'll want to meet us in his study or library. Have you heard anything?"

Sham grinned "really?"

Mythian walked out with him "no, I've heard nothing, but We should ask a servant or something?"

"Really," she promised, kissing him lightly.


Waving a hand at the nearest servant, Mordred asked, "You there, where is the king?"

Sham kissed her back 

The servant nodded, clearly afraid of Mordred "his study..." the maid said curtsying, not daring to look up.

Eve leaned into him, hand moving from his hair to his chest.

Mordred held back a sigh at the reaction (really being at the sea castle where the servants were starting to relax had spoiled him) and nodded to her. "Thank you; you're dismissed." Turning to Mythian, he gestured to the right. "This way."

Sham pulled away and sighed "we have work"

Mythian followed Mordred to the study, though relied on Mordred to lead her, as she was busy looking at Ruth,

"I know," she complained, sitting up and running a hand through her hair.

Arriving at the door to Arthur's study, Mordred took a deep breath and knocked. "Your Majesty?" he called.

Sham got up and began dressing

"Come in!" Came Arthur's voice,

Eve followed his example.

Opening the door, Mordred allowed Mythian to enter with Ruth first before following them in. "You wished to see us?" he bowed.

Sham kissed her cheek "I'll see you later"

The king stood and bowed while Mythian curtsied. "Yes, I wanted to meet my grand daughter"

Eve nodded. "I love you."

Taking Ruth, Mordred offered her to Arthur. "This is Ruth."

Sham kissed Eve "I love you too" he said then left

Mythian's fingers twitched when her baby was taken and given to Arthur.

Arthur smiled and held Ruth "she's he pretty, just like her mother"

Mordred put a soothing hand on her arm with a light warning squeeze. "She'll put the world to shame," he agreed.

Mythian shook off Mordred's hand.

Arthur raised his eyebrow at the two and smiled "lady Mythian, would you mind giving us a moment? You can leave the child"

Mythian stayed where she was, she didn't want to leave Ruth. Arthur sighed and handed Ruth over. Mythian left quickly.

"Forgive her, Your Majesty," Mordred sighed. "She's incredibly protective." Eyes wary, he watched the king of Camelot. "What is it you'd like to discuss?"

Arthur nodded. "No forgiveness needed, they say there is no greater wrath then a scorned mother" he laughed a little. "Her protectiveness shows how much she cares. Why don't you sit?" He asked as he sat in his chair. "We need to discuss what to do about our heritage, and your daughters"

Mordred sat in the indicated chair and tried to relax. "I don't want the throne," he said quickly.

Arthur nodded "good but you are my only child, you'll have to take it when i die"

Mordred winced. "The country won't accept me as heir. Not if you can't even stand to look at me most of the time."
