Mythian sat up slowly "I had the strangest dream, your mother's voice was in my head...she was speaking in that language you do sometimes"

"What?!" A chill ran down Mordred's spine and he felt his breath pause. "Do you know what she said?"

Mythian shook her head "no... It was in that other language, I told you" she said frowning "what's wrong?"

Mordred shook his head, slowly. "Hopefully nothing." Meeting her eyes, he added, "Just tell me if anything strange happens to you, alright?"

Mythian frowned, she was now worrying but nodded an silently pulled her dress on "what kind of weird thing? What could she have done? I was with you all night"

"I don't know," he muttered, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know. Some kind of spell or curse or..." Taking a breath, he forced himself to calm down. "For now, we'll just be careful and I'll try to figure out if the dream is important or not." Gently pulling her to him, he sighed. "I'm sorry for involving you with my family."

Mythian shook her head looking up at him. "i knew what I was getting into before I asked if you would have my hand" she replied

"And yet you asked," he laughed softly. A knock at the door caught his attention.

"Prince Mordred, your carriage is ready!"

"Bring it round front!" he called. Turning to Mythian he smiled. "Let's go back to school."

Mythian nodded and kissed mordred's cheek.

In the carriage Mythian leaned her head against the carriage seat, suddenly feeling dizzy.

Glancing at her, Mordred frowned. "Are you alright, Mythian?"

Mythian nodded "yes...just a bit dizzy"

Mordred, apprehensive, moved closer, taking her hand in his. "You're sure?"

Mythian nodded and leaned over, resting her head on his shoulder "yah, i'm sure i'll be alright by the time classes start."

Gently pressing a kiss into her hair, Mordred sighed. "I hope so."

Mythian nodded and looked up at him, she reached down and held his hand

With a soft smile, he gave her hand a light squeeze.

Mordred's patience had worn thin by the time he reached his fencing class. Not sharing any classes was more trouble than he had expected and he hated having to wait to know if she was alright. As he waited for his turn to spar, he searched for Mythian.

Agatha, a girl from Mythian's classes ran out onto the fencing field, running right in between Mordred's fight "Sir Locke! Please it is urgent, it's Mythian, she's been taken terribly I'll! She is with the medics!"

Mordred barely heard anything after the word "urgent" and was already running by the word "ill". Within minutes he burst through the door, focusing solely on Mythian. "What's going on?" he demanded. "What happened?"

Mythian was behind a white screen. A nurse tried to stop Mordred "my Lord, I'm afraid I can't let you pass, she is very I'll, we don't know of what, her friend said she came to class dizzy, soon she was pale, sweating, and then just passed out"

Cursing silently Mordred stepped past the nurse. "I don't care. I need to see her."

The nurse glared "I advise against it!"

Mythian was unable to move, her body too weak, but she opened her eyes and looked at Mordred

His breath caught audibly as he knelt next to her. "Myth..." he whispered, stroking her hair. "I..." Fear and fury battled for dominance in his blue eyes as his voice trailed away.

Mythian was covered in sweat, she moaned a little "mor.." was all she could get out.

"That's the most she's responded since we brought her down" a nurse said.

"How long has she been here? How bad is it?" he asked the nurse, gently shushing Mythian.

"She was just brought in about an hour ago, it's bad, we don't know what's wrong with her or how to stop it, and she's beginning to develop an odd rash on her neck" the nurse said, tilting Mythian head for Mordred to see, on her neck was light red marking, forming some sort of symbol, several swirls, with curved lines connecting them. She let go of Mythian.

Mordred's jaw clenched. "Can I be alone with her for a few moments? Please? She's my fiancée."

The nurse considered this then nodded, she and the two other nursers left.

Mythian was looking up at him, a ghostly pale color, and seeming to only get worse by the minute

Mordred avoided her gaze and carefully pulled her into his arms. Resting a hand over the mark on her neck, he called on every thread of power he had and whispered, "Sana." Heal.

After several moments, he cursed. Nothing. Was he that powerless against his mother? He froze. He was, at least at the moment, but Merlin...Carefully, he pulled away and studied Mythian, knowing she wouldn't last much longer.

Steeling himself, he kissed Mythian and murmured, "Participo." Share. If he couldn't heal her himself, he could at least share the burden and give her more time.

Mythian mumbled something "no...mor..." she mumbled, as if trying to tell him not to kiss her, trying to warn him that he'll get sick as well. She however, did not have the strength to fight him off.

The sudden wave of dizziness sent Mordred reeling. He swayed and caught himself against the headboard of the bed, struggling to make sense of the world. As he gathered himself he stood slowly. "Hang on just a little longer, Myth," he whispered. "I'll figure something out. I promise."
