"They're gypsy clothes, Hilly. That's not considered acceptable among nobles," he replied. "Outside of noble gatherings they're fine for casual wear."

"I know you do, I do too," Gawain told her, sitting down beside her. "But just because we like them doesn't make them acceptable for every situation."

"A gypsy is of lower class and not expected to meet certain standards. Nobles are," Gawain winced. "Nobles often look down on gypsies."

Gawain raised an eyebrow. "If I looked down on gypsies I never would have offered to help your company or given you the time of day, Hilly. I'm not like most nobles."

Hilly smiled and hugged Gawain "do your brothers look down on gypsies?"

"Depends on the brother," Gawain replied distractedly, tangling his hands in her hair. "Agravain does for sure; he only views them as objects. Mordred doesn't seem to care one way or another."

His heartbeat was sure, steady, and strong. Gawain shifted so that he had an arm wrapped around her. "You're already up for another round?" he yawned, surprised.
