Arthurian Legend RP

Well, I'm certainly interested. I've never really RPGed before, though, is that okay? I also know only a little bit about the Arthurian Legend/I don't know if what I know applies.  

The character  I'm most interested in is Mordred. He seems like a darker character from what I know and for some reason I love those kinds of characters. -_-'

It's okay, this is a generalized rp for Arthurian legend because there are just so many different routs it takes and different stories, it's confusing, so it's basics and then some

And no I haven't. At least, not online. A friend and I rpg a little, creating stories together with our own characters. Not sure if that counts though. With any luck I'll catch on quickly

Cheesecake is very important! It's one of my downfalls. And I'm game. Love hate relationships are so much fun.

XD it's one of my favorite deserts 

And here we go:

Mythian rode down a dirt path on her way to Camelot, she rode on her horse with a servant and a guard, she was going to Camelot on grounds that her father had sent her to a boarding school here, as she neared Camelot she saw a young man about her own age, she considered to keep going but sighed and looked at the man "I see your walking, it's still a long way" she told the man, the man was Mordred

Mordred stared at the city sprawled out in the distance. It had not been his choice to go to the capital but his father's. A boarding school. Tch. The young man disliked such useless interactions.

The wind caught the edge of his forest green cloak, tugging at it playfully. A small smile graced Mordred's features for a moment before he sighed. At the school there would not be much time for him to escape to the peace of the forest. At the sound of hooves on the hard packed dirt road, he glided to the side to allow them passage.

"I see your walking, it's still a long way"

Brushing his dark hair out of his eyes, Mordred looked up to see a young woman around his age watching him. "Are you headed there as well?" he asked, if only to be polite.

Mythian raised an eyebrow "no, I'm just going on this one way road straight t Camelot to get to rivendell" she said sarcastically. "Yes, that is where I am headed". Mythian was never the nicest girl around, but was very charming and could act sweet when she wanted to, but she only did that when it was to her benefit. 
This boy however, didn't even have a horse, so she assumed he was of unimportance.

Mordred felt his left eye twitch. Patience had never been his strong suit and this woman...no girl...had already worn his thin. "May I ask why you started this conversation in the first place? One of your rank shouldn't waste time with a peasant," he said stiffly, barely keeping a snarl out of his voice. Out of the corner of his eye he noted one or two of her soldiers smirk.

Mythian shrugged "I come to offer you a ride, if you would want it that is" she said, she was not doing this to be kind, but rather that when she rode into town with a peasant boy people would see her as sweet.

There was something about her that warned of ulterior motives, though Mordred didn't truly care. He'd be using her as much as she was using him if he accepted her offer. He smirked inwardly; his brothers often accused him of taking advantage of a situation to reach his own goal. It wasn't a behavior he intended to stop though. "I'd appreciate it," he bowed, grimacing inwardly.

Mythian nodded "Atlas, give this young man your horse" she ordered the servant. The servant boy got off the horse quickly and fell on his stomach.

Offering the servant a hand, Mordred glanced up at the young woman, death blue eyes unreadable. "Are you alright?" As he pulled the boy to his feet, Mordred studied the horse. It was a beautiful beast with fur that reminded him of a snowstorm. His gaze met the horse's brown eyes and something stirred within Mordred's chest. The horse snorted softly before nudging the young man with its nose. "I'm sure he can carry both of us," Mordred said as he stroked the stallion's forehead.

Mythian raised an eyebrow at Mordred as the boy nervously climbed back onto the horse.
"On then" Mythian ordered and a guard led the way to Camelot "where are you headed in Camelot? We can leave you"  Mythian asked Mordred.

Swinging easily into the saddle behind the boy, Mordred smiled at the lady's raised eyebrow. "The boarding school. And I have yet to have the pleasure of knowing your name."

Mythian pursed her lips "I am headed to the same place..it is Mythian De'Fluer.  What is your name?"

There was no hiding the wince as Mythian said she was going to the same school. He had hoped to be rid of her upon reaching Camelot, but then, when had fate ever been kind to him? Beneath him, his mount skittered uneasily as his mood darkened. "Mordred Orkney," he muttered, not entirely sure why he was giving his real name.

Mythian instantly froze. Everyone knew the Orkney's, this was no pesent boy. Mythian froze up and fell silent, the Orkneys were dangerous.

Mordred noted her reaction with some satisfaction. A dark smirk flickered across his face before he fell back to his neutral mask. "Something wrong, De'Fluer?"

"Of course not Orkney, I'm fine" Mythian said, snapping back to herself.

Chuckling, Mordred shrugged. "Of course. Nothing fazes a De'Fluer." A breeze tangled through his black hair and he closed his eyes to revel in it. At the pace they were traveling at they'd likely reach Camelot before nightfall. Then, even if they went to the same school, he'd be free of her presence. He began to relax into the stallion's even gait, even allowed himself to stroke the horse's arched neck.

And then it hit. Pain. Blinding, red tinted pain that pulsed through his skull. Each breath was ragged and he felt himself sway.

((I'm thinking of him developing his powers throughout the story if that's okay?))

Mythian  turned to retort to Mordred then looked back at Mordred and gasped "what is happening to him?! Guard check him!" She explained as the party came to a halt and a guard hurried to Mordred's side,

He couldn't see. No, that wasn't right. He could see, but it was if there was a fog over the world, blurring the lines, distorting details, then melted away. There was nothing around him but the fog. Time no longer felt relevant.

"Expergiscere, Fuscus," a voice, neither male nor female whispered. Welcome, Dark One.

"Quis enim es tu?" he demanded. Who are you?

"Sortitus." Destiny.

Before he could ask what the voice meant he felt hands grabbing him, shaking him. "Ego sum, Fuscus," he breathed, blue eyes unfocused and fluttering.

Mythian was frightened beyond belief but finally got off her horse and slapped Mordred across the face hoping it will get him back to sorts.

The slap was sharp and brought him back. Eyes flashing he shook his head and glared at the young woman. "What?"

Mythian stared st him "don't you know what happened?"

"I was thinking," Mordred deadpanned dangerously. "And then you slapped me."
