Eve blushed. "I hope so."

Mordred allowed his eyes to drift closed and his last thought was of his father. Would he reject her as much as he rejected Mordred? Would he ever get along with his father?

"Good man," she teased as she accepted Ruth. Gently cradling the baby, Eve nodded at him. "I'll meet you back home."

Mythian woke a while later .

Mordred stirred, sensing her movement but didn't open his eyes.

Mordred groaned in protest as her warmth vanished and his eyes flickered open. "Myth?" he muttered. "What are you doing?"

"She's with Eve," Mordred replied, allowing his eyes to flutter closed. "They're probably in the kitchen."

Mythian nodded then tried walking but found herself clutching things to stay up, the birth was hard on her.

Slowly, Mordred rose and pulled her to him to steady her. "Do you want me to get her or do you want me to carry you down?" he asked.

Mythian frowned looking down "can you please get her?' She asked quietly.

"Of course, my dear," Mordred smiled before kissing her lightly. Helping her back to the bed, he added, "I'll be right back."

Mythian sat back in the bed and waited, grinning as she waited for her baby.

A few minutes later, Mordred returned with Ruth cradled against his chest. Handing her to Mythian, Mordred sat on the edge of the bed. "The doctor will be here soon."

Mordred sighed; he'd been expecting that. "We need to make sure you're both healthy," he replied. "I don't have those skills."
