Gawain gently untangled himself from Hilly.

Mordred groaned and opened his eyes. Slowly, he rose, Mythian in his arms, and climbed out. Grabbing a towel, he wrapped in around her and then carried her to the bed.

Hilly woke p slowly "Gawain...?"

The serving boy couldn't help but stare at Mythian with wide eyes, craning his neck to loom at her.

Mythian curled up in the bed.

"I'm here, Hilly," Gawain replied from where he was dressing. "I was going to head for the palace."

Mordred glared at the servant. "You're dismissed," he snapped.

Hilly pulled the blankets over herself. 'your going alone?"

The boy blinked not hearing Mordred at first, he was almost drooling as he continued to stare "your a lucky man...such a beautiful woman" he murmured before leaving slowly.

"Yes," he shrugged. "I'll be fine."

A shadow snaked around the boy's neck and eyes. "Watch your tongue, boy," Mordred warned. "It won't take much to kill you."

Hilly nodded looking down "am I to stay here?"

The boy gasped. "It...was... a compliment....sir!"

"Do you want to come?" Gawain asked.

The shadow relaxed its grip but didn't release. "I'll let you go this time. But keep your eyes to yourself and remember your place," Mordred warned. "Now get out."

Hilly shrugged "can I? I have never been inside the palace"

The boy nodded and ran away

"You can come," Gawain told her. "But stay close to me and don't wander. Okay?"

Mordred watched the boy leave and sighed.

Hilly nodded "is it dangerous?"

Mythian yawned "are you okay?" She asked hearing his sigh, just now waking up.

Gawain laughed. "No, but it is big and I don't want you getting lost. Get dressed and we'll get going."

Mordred nodded. "I'm fine, fair one."

Hilly smiled and began putting her clothes on, getting tangled up in her dress. "Help?"

Mythian looked at him. "You seem irritated"

Shaking his head in amusement, Gawain helped her with her dress. "Ready?"

"Just a servant forgetting his place," Mordred shrugged.

Hilly nodded "yes yes! Let's go!" She said excitedly.

Mythian raised an eyebrow. "What did he do?"

Gawain smiled and led her down the stairs to the stable. Ten minutes later, they were at the castle.

Mordred's eyes flashed red for a moment. "He was staring at you," he muttered. Part of him felt childish for being annoyed but it was a small part.

Hilly looked at it in awe "it's so pretty..."

Mythian smiled a little "Mordred, come here" she said patting the spot in the bed beside her.

Gawain nodded. "I love it here." Taking her hand, he led her further in. "Come on."

Reluctant, Mordred sat down beside her.

Hilly followed closely, looking around ad pointed at something.

Mythian smiled and dropped the towel off of herself. "It's yours"

"Impressive isn't it?" Gawain asked. As he explained things, he kept an eye out for his uncle.

Mordred sighed and rested his head on her shoulder. "I know," he muttered. "But still...it's annoying."

Arthur was barging towards Gawain
Hilly was touching a glass vase,

Mythian nodded "just remember, your the only one who can have it"

Gawain moved Hilly away from the vase before bowing to Arthur, bracing himself for the anger he knew was coming.

That made him smile a little. "And I'm yours," he told her. Pulling back, he stretched. "How'd you sleep?"

Hilly then pulled away and picked up a marble bust.

Arthur crossed his arms. "Gawain, we had a deal. Who is she?"

Mythian shrugged "It was fine, I'm wrinkled up from sleeping in the tube"

Gawain watched Hilly out of the corner of his eye as he answered, "She's my wife. And I can explain. I was going to send word but the circumstances prevented it."

Mordred smirked. "You look a bit like an old woman," he teased before quickly adding, "Though I don't look much better."

"What circumstances prevented it" Arthur scolded only to be interrupted by the echoing sound of a smash.

Hilly was pale now, looking down at the bust she had accidentally dropped.

Mythian chuckled "at least I'm still beautiful"

Gawain winced; he should've told her not to touch anything. "A situation with my mother came up," Gawain explained, shifting subtly to put himself between his uncle and his wife.

"Very," Mordred agreed. His stomach growled and he glanced at the door. "Should we get dinner?"

Arthur pinched the bridge of his nose. "Really Gawain, why is she here? Break in my things?!"

Hilly was shaking, and looking down. "I'm sorry..."

Mythian nodded "yes please"

"Forgive her, my king," Gawain sighed. "She's still learning how to act in settings like this."

Mordred nodded and dressed quickly. "I'll go get it."

"That's a long story, your Majesty," Gawain replied, hoping to avoid the topic.

"Of course," Mordred grinned. "I'll be right back."

"Well clearly she is not noble birth! Where is she from?! Commoners even know not to touch artifacts!" Arthur demanded,

Hilly gripped onto Gawain's arm, hiding behind him.

Mythian smiled and laid back.
