Lancelot smiled at her "good to hear"

Hilly giggled "What's being at a grande feast like?"

"So what brings you to our festival, Sir Lancelot?" Charlotte asked, absently playing a strand of hair that had come free from its braid. Standing in one place didn't suit her.

Gawain's eyes glazed at the memories. "They're incredible. More food and wine than anyone could finish and laughter and music. They're always fun, compared to most noble life."

Lancelot shrugged "we had the day off, and not match happens in Camelot"

Hilly looked at Gawain in marvel "are their dances like my dances? Is there chocolate?!" She asked excitedly, thinking of the treat that gypsies could hardly ever come by.

"Hmm," Charlotte mused, eyes restlessly scanning the area. "Camelot must be boring."

"None of their dances are as breathtaking as yours," Gawain remembered. "And there is chocolate." Watching her, he grinned. "You don't get it very often, do you?"

Lncelot shrugged "Apart from the constant attacks, it can be"

Hilly shook her head "Oh no Never! I remember having it once as a small child, but that is all"

Charlotte gazed at him in surprise. "How are you not insane?"

"We need to fix that," Gawain decided. "No one should only have it once."

Lancelot shrugged "Perhaps I am insane"

Hilly raised her eyebrows "how would we fix it? It's so costly"

"Not 'perhaps'," Charlotte replied. "You ARE insane."

"You do know who you're married to, right?" he laughed. "I can make sure you can have it at least once a year."

Lancelot grinned "as are you"

Hilly blushed "were not married yet" she said then giggled and hugged Gawain "oh O can hardly Waite to taste it again!"

"How so?" Charlotte asked, curious.

"Two," Gawain told the vender before kissing Hilly. "We will be soon. And I'm sure it'll be even better than you remember."

Lancelot raised an eyebrow "you did set fire to yourself"

Hilly kissed back for a moment then nodded "oh thank you Gawain!"

"That's part of my job," Charlotte waved a hand. "And I've yet to be burned."

"Anytime," he grinned, accepting the boars' legs. Handing one to her, he smiled. "Here."

Lancelot crossed his arms "and has anyone ever been burned?"

HIlly took a big bite then smiled "It's good!" she said around a mouthful.

"Only people stupid enough to get too close," Charlotte shrugged. "I can't be blamed for that."

Gawain nodded, swallowing his own bite. "I'm glad you like it."

"and you dance with it as though it is nothing" Lancelot Commented

Hilly tookk Gawains hand as she ate another bite

"I am not afraid of fire," Charlotte replied. "It's too beautiful to be avoided."

Eyes playful, Gawain leaned over and stole a bite from hers.

Lancelot shook his head "playing with fore will get your burned"

Hilly looked shocked then grinned and took w bite from his.

Charlotte laughed. "But that's its nature! Most things will harm you at some point, that's how this world works. Being scared only limits you in life."

Gawain ruffled her hair. "Taste better stolen?"

Lancelot nodded "your wise beyond your years"

Hilly nodded eagerly. "Yup! Like stolen kisses" she grinned and puckered her lips at him.

"Hardly," Charlotte shook her head. "Just saying what I've seen."

"Puckering your lips and asking don't count as stolen," Gawain told her. But he leaned down and kissed her.

Lancelot raised an eyebrow "and what have you seen?"

Hilly kissed back for a moment then smiled "oh but it is nice, is it not?"

Charlotte tilted her head, then shook it. "Not telling," she laughed.

"Yes," Gawain smiled, eyes soft. "It is."

Lancelot chuckled "a woman of many secrets I see"

HIlly leaned against Gawain a little.

"You have no idea, Sir Lancelot," Charlotte smiled mysteriously.

Wrapping an arm around her, Gawain pulled her closer to his side. "I love you," he whispered into her hair.

Lancelot watched her, she fascinated him to say the least. "What else can you do besides dance with fire?"

Hilly nuzzled up to Gawain. "I love you too" she said quietly.

"Besides annoy knights like you?" Charlotte smirked before considering his question. "I can act, dance without fire, and I help around the food stands when we have them," she replied after a moment. "There are other minor talents not worth mentioning." Glancing at him, she asked, "What can you do besides swing a sword?"


"I'm glad," Gawain smiled. "Life without you is boring."

Lancelot shrugged "I can play the violin" he answered

Hilly cupped Gawain;s cheeks in her hands "was it really so boring before?"

Charlotte blinked. "I didn't expect such an answer from you!" she laughed, doubling over in amusement.


Gawain closed his eyes and leaned into her hand. "Not always, but it could be. I guess the more accurate way of putting it is that you're a light in my life; one I needed."

Lancelot smiled "well it is the truth" he told the woman and leaned against a tree.

Hilly pecked him on the lips "and your my light"

Charlotte was fighting to control her laughter. "I don't believe you," she gasped. "There's no way you can play the violin."


"I'm surprised you need a light," Gawain smiled. "You're so bright."
