"I was hoping that you and Eve could return to the castle on the beach and retrieve Mythian's and Ruth's belongings," Mordred explained as he stroked one of the horses. "Our trip has been extended and I'm not sure how long we'll be staying."

"I'm talking about the fact that you no longer need to worry about teaching Mordred," Morgana replied, smiling.

Sham nodded "of course, We will leave right away"

Merlin winced "Morgana....what have you done?"

Mordred smiled. "Thank you, Sham. Your service is truly appreciated."

Offering him another smile, Morgana studied her nails. "I spoke with Arthur and we decided it would be best if I took over Mordred's training due to the tension between you two. The threat of one or both of you losing your temper is concerning."

Sham smiled "thank you, anything else?"

"So he's sending him...to YOU?" Merlin asked glaring

"Have a safe journey," Mordred added with a grin. "Other than that, no."

"Not exactly," Morgana shrugged as she burned a bit of dirt out from under her nail. "Whenever I'm here at the palace I'm going to train him, which will probably be more than usual since my nephew needs to be trained in magic." Gaze flicking up to meet his, she tilted her head. "Is there a problem with these arrangements? You seem displeased."

Sham nodded and smiled and wend in search of eve.

Merlin was clenching his fists. "You know the problem."

Eve was tending to the garden. Ever since she'd found it, she'd visited at least once a day to help the gardeners, loving the feeling of the grass and the smell of the flowers.

As Sham left, Mordred gave the horse one last pat before returning to his room.

Raising an eyebrow, Morgana considered him. "Honestly, I'm quite confused," she stated, despite knowing very well what the problem was. But it wasn't in her nature to make things easy for the old sorcerer and she didn't intend to do so now. "I thought you'd be pleased to be rid of Mordred's company."

Sham smiled watching Eve for a moment "you have a green thumb" he said from behind hher

Mythian was undressed and grinning at him under the blankets.

"Pleased to be rid of him! But I got rid of him and gained.,.you!" Merlin said exaspersted

Startled, she whirled to face him. "Sham!" she beamed rising and taking his hand. "What brings you here?"

"My lady," Mordred laughed. "Already? What about Ruth?"

Morgana clicked her tongue at him. "You really are such a rude old man, Merlin. Here I am helping you and all you can do is complain. Honestly, you should be thanking me. Mordred may be untrained compared to you, but his power is strong and connected to his emotions. If you pushed him too far you could've easily been injured. With me training him you won't have to worry as much."

Sham kissed her cheek "the Prince has given us a task. We are to return to his castle and gather Lady Mythian and Princess Ruth's things"

Mythian blushed "she's asleep, and We can be quiet, she won't remember it anyway"

"But I'll have to worry about WHAT your training him" Merlin mumbled

Blushing faintly, Eve stood on her tip-toes and kissed his cheek. "But I thought that they'd packed enough for their stay? Did they decided to extend the trip?"

Amused, Mordred moved to the bed and stretched on top of the blankets next to her. "I suppose that's true enough. But Myth, you're rarely quiet."

"That's the price of avoiding him," Morgana rolled her eyes. "Seems fair enough to me."

Sham nodded "yes they've extended it, which means when we get back you'll have more time out here *smiles*

Mythian opened her mouth the protest but shook her head and rubbed his chest "there is a first time for everything"

"Not to me, why did you agree?" Merlin asked glaring

Smiling, Eve leaned against him. "It's so pretty, isn't it? I wish we had a garden like this at home." After a few moments, she moved away, still holding his hand. "We should hurry. I don't want to keep them waiting longer than necessary and the journey there will take at least a day. Then we have to pack and return."

Mordred laughed softly. "We'll see about that," he teased, catching her hand and kissing the palm teasingly.

"Why not?" Morgana countered. "He's my nephew after all so our magic is similar enough that I can teach him more than simple control. Besides, as far as I know, I've never truly had a quarrel with the boy."

Shame nodded wrapping his arms around her "I heard Lady Mythian planned to make the garden at home better" he said as he walked with Eve

Mythian smiled "Mordred, I am cols under these blankets, please join me?"

"Buy you've quarrelled with me often enough" Merlin pointed out

Eyes bright with excitement, Eve looked at him. "Really? That'd be wonderful!"

With one last kiss on her palm, Mordred slipped under the blankets and ran a hand only her waist. "Better?"

"Helping you is an unfortunate side effect of helping my brother and nephew," Morgana huffed.

Sham smiled "I thought you'd be excited, but yes, the Lady enjoys walks in a nice garden, which is lucky for you"

Mythian moved closer to him "could be better" she grinned

"Trust me, I'm not thrilled either" Merlin said crossing Hus arms

Spinning, Eve smiled. "I can't wait. Perhaps she'll let me focus on the garden. If we both share the love of flowers than it would make sense for me to be the one to care for it."

With a bit of maneuvering, Mordred slipped his shirt off and kissed her. "Am I on the right track?" he teased against her lips.

"It is what it is," Morgana noted with a shrug. "Either way, I'm taking over Mordred's lessons, though I suppose you're welcome to join us. Just don't make my pupil lose control. I don't want to try to contain that much raw magic." Eyes glittering, she leaned forward. "I've been meaning to ask, but what happened this morning? When your magics touched?"

Sham smiled a little "maybe_ he said as he got the horses ready "but she also trusts you Eve"

Mythian nodded and smiled. She kissed him again "yes" (time skip?)

Merlin glared at Morgana. "Nothing. Nothing happened" he lied and crossed his arms.

"I suppose so," Eve shrugged. "I'm not sure why though. She doesn't seem to trust easily."

(Yup) Mordred kept Mythian close, not willing to let go.

"Come now, Merlin," Morgana shook her head. "I saw both of your reactions. Something happened."

"Your a trust worthy woman" Sham smiled.

Mythian curled up to him

"Well even if it did, I wouldn't,t tell you"

"Thanks," Eve grinned, kissing his cheek.

"Thank you," he whispered, nuzzling into her shoulder. "For everything."

"It must've had quite the impact," Morgana laughed knowingly. "Have it your way."

Sham smiled and helped Eve into the carriage "maybe when we return to the castle for good, you could plant your own garden outside our hut?" he suggested as the carriage began to move.

Mythian smiled a little at him "I love you" she said quietly

Merlin crossed his arms then "be gone then"

"Would you mind?" Eve glowed, smiling over at him and kissing his cheek lightly.

"I love you too," he murmured. "More than you could possible know."

"Fine, old man," Morgana huffed. "Suit yourself."

Sham shook his head "of clurse not" puts an arm around her and smiles

Mythian smiled and kissed his forehead "And I you"

"and i'm not old!" merlin called

"I love you," she sang, snuggling into him.

Mordred leaned into her touch, allowing his eyes to close.

"Yes you are!" Morgana laughed as she closed the door.

Sham kissed her hair "I love you too my beautiful wife"

Mythian wrapped her arms around Mordred and fell asleep

Merlin wrinkled his nose "no I'm not" he muttered

"I love you too, my handsome husband," Eve smiled.

It wasn't until the next morning that Mordred stirred. For a moment, he considered getting up, but after a quick glance at Mythian, he snuggled deeper under the covers. Maybe just this once he could be his age and be selfish.

Sham smiled and Nuzzled her hair

Mythian stirred and snuggled up to Murder and yawned

She looked up and kissed him.

"Love you," he murmured, gently kissing her forehead.

Sham kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her.


Mythian smiled "I love you too"
