"Well...I was hoping for a scarf to match the ring Mordred gave me" Mythian said holding out her hand to show Gawain her new ring.

"Where did he get that?" Gawain asked, staring at the ring in amazement. "I've never seen anything like it."

"It's impressive either way," Gawain admitted, still surprised Mordred was able to make something like that. Scanning the scarves at the booth, he asked, "So how are you feeling? How's Mordred?"

Mythian fingered a black scarf cocking her head to the side. "I'm feeling much better, I think Mordred is a bit better, but when he woke up he went back to sleep so I am unsure"

"I'm just glad you two will make it," Gawain smiled. Looking at the scarf, he shook his head and held up a different one. "Are you two really...?" he trailed off, not sure how to ask. "In love?" was his lame finish.

Mythian took the scarf and nodded, she purchased it from the woman. She frowned at Gawain. "Of course we are. Why, do you doubt our love?"

"I don't," he reassured her. "It's just...not like Mordred. Not the one I know anyway. And I was curious how he acts with you." Avoiding her eyes, he added, "I'm sorry. It's not really my place to ask."

"He is sweet to me...and gentle, and protective" Mythian answered looking up st Gawain for a moment.

"And what about you?" Gawain asked, smiling at the thought of his brother acting the way she'd described; it was certainly out of character.

"I believe I am the real me when I am with him" Mythian said, knowing it would confuse him, but didn't particularly care.

Gawain just shook his head. "No wonder you two get along," he sighed. Catching her eyes with his, he became serious. "What are you willing to do for him?"

Mythian stared at Gawain, she had already given up her virtue to him, what more could she give? "Anything" she replied after a moment.

Nodding, Gawain bowed low before her. "Then I have a request Lady Mythian De'Fluer; watch over my brother, protect him from himself and those who would use him."

Gawain shook his head. "No. It's only natural for me to care about him. That's what family is for." Giving her a grin, he added, "And soon you'll be family as well."

Mythian smiled "I can not wait to join the family, I only have my father, and while he is a good man, it does get lonely"

Gawain shrugged. "No offense, but you're far more confident than he is and you seem more like my family than a noble from Camelot."

"I hope he does soon," Gawain smiled. With any luck being married to Mythian would stabilize Mordred's life. There was a brief flicker of concern in his brown eyes before he forced the thoughts away.
