Mordred went still for several moments, struggling to understand. "But...I...why?"

Mythian shook her head "I-I Don't know"

"So I really am just a pawn to fate and all those around me," Mordred finally breathed, all of his tension draining away.

Mythian shook her head "no! You don't have to be! We can change it!"

"How?!" he replied. "How?"

"I don't know, but I won't let you die" Mythian decided.

Dropping his head to her shoulder, Mordred sighed. "Then, please."

"Please what?" Mythian asked stroking his hair.

"...Help," Mordred managed.

"I will...oh I will" Mythian said, and with that she kissed him.

Mordred kissed her back, almost desperately. "Thank you."

Mythian wrapped her arms tightly around Mordred "I love you"

((Sorry I haven't been on lately. I was on vacation and had either no internet or internet equivalent to no internet.))

Returning the embrace, Mordred smiled. "I love you too."

(O.o what kind of horrid hell would call that a vacation? XD

Mythian pulled away a little and looked st him "I don't think I want the wedding in Camelot as much as I wanted"

"Because of the prophecy?" Mordred asked, frowning slightly.

Mythian nodded and looked down "I don't want anything to happen"

"Agreed," Mordred nodded. Standing up, he turned to her. "Tomorrow. Let's skip the ceremony and get married tomorrow."

Mythian looked up at him shocked "what brought this about?"

Taking her hands and pulling her up to stand before him, Mordred dropped to a knee, "I see no reason to wait. We aren't marrying at the castle so there's no waiting for that. I have no interest in having my family present expect perhaps Gawain." Blue eyes locked on her, he smiled. "And I'm tired of waiting. Another day would be fine too, but soon."

Mythian considered for a moment then nodded "but Where will we go after it?"

Mordred laughed. "Who cares? Anywhere!" Spinning her around, he grinned. "I'm sure I can figure out how to create a shelter without much trouble."

Mythian blushed shaking her head "I refuse to build my own shelter, we'll ride into town tomorrow, has a priest marry us, then stay the night in an inn, after that we'll ride back to my father"

"That's acceptable," Mordred agreed before smirking. "Will your father welcome me?"

Mythian smirked back "he will let you into the house...but he won't open his arms for you"

That made Mordred laugh. "I wouldn't ask him to."

Mythian smiled "he probably will try to force into separate rooms"

"Will you let him?" Mordred teased, flopping on the bed and looking up at her.

Mythian sat beside Mordred and chuckled "yes...only for show...after everyone else goes to bed we can sneak into the others room"

"Why bother with a show? We'll be married by then. And what happened to doing whatever you want without permission after the wedding?" Mordred replied, playing with a strand of her hair.

Mythian blushed "wedded couples of our status rarely spend the night together,  and that was before I knew we would need to stay with my father" she replied taking Mordred's hand
