Mythian shrugged "it is not that late, but It's time to wake unless we are skipping classes"

"Tempting," he commented, eyes drifting closed again.

Mythian laid down beside him and sighed in content.

"Skipping classes again, m'lady?" Mordred asked, but his voice carried none of its usual edge.

Mythian shrugged "I'm just so tired" she said pulling the blankets tighter around them "and your so warm"

Moving closer, Mordred sighed contentedly. "So are you," he whispered, mind fading quickly back into sleep.

Mythian woke up around the mod afternoon and yawned.

"Afternoon, Mythian," Mordred greeted. He was sprawled out on the floor, a tray of food set out in front of him. "Hungry?"

Mythian nodded looking at the tray, her stomach growling "how'd you get that up here?" She asked going to her closet and pulling a dress over her head.

"Went to the kitchen and asked for a tray," he replied as he offered her a cup of tea. "How you feeling?"

Mythian sat beside  him taking the tea and sipping it  "I'm okay, just a little tired, but I did just wake up, how do you feel?"

Mordred stretched and bit into a slice of bread. "Good. What are your plans for today?"

Mythian shrugged "I have none"

Mordred laughed. "Sounds relaxing. I thought you'd have plans to take over the country."

Mythian shrugged "oh that's for Tuesday" she teased

"I should've known," Mordred sighed, shaking his head. "I'll never keep track of your schedule."

Mythian smiled "have you any plans for today?"

"I want to train later. I'll probably go to the lake for that so I can practice without being seen," he replied, catching a grape in his mouth.

Mythian raised an eyebrow "why will you not want to be seen?

"I'd rather not announce that I have magic. If more people know about it, it limits my options when I want to use it. Especially if it's for something like my last...training session."

Mythian nodded cockin her head to the side. "do you mind if I come?"

"Not at all, Red Lady," Mordred smiled. "May I ask why?"

Mythian shrugged "I was hoping to go for a swim"

Mordred nodded. "Sounds like fun."

Mythian smiled  and looked st he ceiling "What was growing up with Morgous like?"

Mordred froze, eyes glazing with memories. A muscle in his jaw jumped as he rolled onto his side, facing away from Mythian.

Mythian frowned and scored beside him, resting her head on his shoulder "I'm sorry, I did not mean to upset you

"It's not you, love," he reassured her. "And you should know. It's just..."

Mythian Nuzzled his neck "just what?"

"Having Morgous as a mother is...complex," he said after a pause. "Unlike my father, my mother favored me above my brothers. At first I thought nothing of it, but as I grew older I recognized that there were motives behind her affection. I don't know the exact details, but there's a good chance they're related to the rumors of my heritage." His body was tense beneath Mythian's touch, as if he were preparing to fight or defend.
