Wintry Chill Challenge Empty Wintry Chill Challenge

Post by Guest 12th January 2014, 5:48 pm

Example:
I'm cold.

No, there's more to it then that. My feet are permanent icicles, threatening to snap off with the step of each foot. Socks and slippers don't seem to help, and there are times when I fear that my toes will be numb forever. Bundling up does little, as the icy cold racing through my blood, freezing me because I exist. Sometimes I feel like a dragon about to breathe fire when I blow a breath out, but it hurts to suck it back in because then the icicles race to my lungs and nest there. But even in this chilly state, perhaps I am still...warm?

Rules

  • Create a short story, poetry, prose about something in winter time, about winter time, or dealing with cold in general.
  • Must be at least 100 words, and it must make sense.
  • No due date. I'll just pick which ones I like best and in which order.
  • You can submit more than one, which means you can win multiple prizes.

Prize
First: I make you a signature
Second: I make you an avatar
Third: You get a gold star. Literally I'll plaster a gold star on your face or something.

And go.

Yup. Because technically it is still a question. Though I'm not sure why you're asking about my correct grammar instead of posting to the challenge that has been presented forth.

Nat you're making no sense. I think she's asking about the example you used. If it has to be included in the short story they write.

-whacks Nat for rudeness-

Alright, to answer that question. No you don't need to include her example in your short story response. It was merely an example so that you could understand what she is wanting to see.

Anyone can try. There is no specific group who can do it.

YAY! Then I think I've written a little 500 word thingy... Not a very good one but it's the best I can afford right because I need to write something else for a friend of mine...
