Team Aqua Vs. Ruby 1

As soon as the tire was moving, Ashlyn was sprinting along next to it, Whitney not far behind. Whenever it started to tip, she knocked it back up. By the time the tire crossed the line she was winded. Flopping onto the ground, she grinned at Whitney. "We...made...it."

Ashlyn just shook her head. Where did that girl get all her energy?

(Whoo! )

Felix put much effort into lifting the tire, but made little progress. He looked around until he found a slightly wedge shaped rock and managed to pry the tire up enough so that he could get a full grip on it. Felix the proceeded to push the tire until it was upright.

((NO! I was too late!!))

(MWAHAHHAHAHA!)
Whitney looked back at Felix from across the field and waved with a big grin, she blew him a kiss even, clearing gloating about her victory,

Felix started to push the the tire along the path, but he realized it was too late, so he let it flop back over and he walked to line with the others, offering his congratulations.

Whitney giggled and hugged Felix then let go and jumped around squealing happily

Dylan docked the canoe, making sure it was secure on the ground and not about to float away. Whitney, bundle of energy that she was, had hopped out as soon as the water was shallow enough for her to do so, charging off toward the balance beam. Dylan shook her head as she watched the girl scoot herself across the beam on her bottom, after falling off several times.

Whitney looked at Dylan and waved the other  girl over . "DYLAN, COME ON WERE WINNING!" She yelled at the top of her lungs then started towards to the tire's, she slipped and fell on her stomach in the hurry to get there.

Dylan looked down at the balance beam. It wasn't too long, but it wasn't exactly short either. She huffed. She'd never had the best balance. Not seeing any way around it, she stepped on, wobbling for a second before steadying herself. She took a step, then another, then another, picking up speed as she went. She looked ahead and saw that the end was only a few feet away. She stumbled. Her arms windmilled as she tried to regain her balance, but it was pretty obvious she was falling.

"Oh, what the heck?" she whispered under her breath, and in one last, desperate attempt, she jumped, landing safely on the other side of the beam.

Whitney clapped so hard and quickly that it was shaking her entire body as she watched Dylan. "YOU GO DILLY! YOU DID SOO GOOD! HOW DID YOU DO IT ONE GO?! IT TOOK ME LIKE A MILLION ZILLION TRIES AND I DIDN'T EVEN WALK IT! DID YOU SEE ME?! DID YOU?!" Whitney had no real reason to yell, but she had no volume control.

Felix, who was standing nearly right next to Whitney, cupped his hands over his ears.
"Gosh, keep it down, will you?" he asked her, obviously offended by the loudness of her voice.

Dylan couldn't help the smirk that pulled at her lip. That girl was crazy, she was sure of it.

"I saw you, don't worry," she said, patting Whitney on the shoulder as she passed.

"Now, what's the deal with the tires?"

(HINY YOU RUINED IT AGAIN)

Whitney looked at Felix and frowned "I'm sorry..." she said quietly then jumped up and hugged Felix tightly then she released him and looked at Dylan "we are supposed to pull them to the end of the course"

Dylan took a good look at the tires. They were big, heavy, monster truck tires, and they were certainly not going anywhere.

"Should we wait for everyone else?" she asked uncertainly, lightly kicking the tire.

Whitney got down and started trying to pull the tire using all her might. She go red in the face then finally fell back onto the ground panting. Whitney nodded. "Y-yes...we wait" she a managed to get out.

Dylan raised an eyebrow.

"Let me try," she said, and grabbed hold of the tire. She managed to lift the end she was holding about an inch off the ground, and started to drag it towards the finish line, slowly but surely. She made it about two feet before it got stuck on a rock. She gave it a jerk, but nothing happened. Sighing, she dropped the tire and sat down on the edge of it.

"Right. I wonder where everyone else is? I'm sure I was the last one to finish the race," she thought aloud.

Whitney shrugged and plopped down in the middle of e tire, using it as a chair. "Well apparently not! What happened to Ashlynn? She was a head of us right?! IS SHE DEAD?!"

Dylan gave Whitney an incredulous look. She seemed genuinely worried.

"No, I don't think she's dead, Whit. She might have stopped at one of the water stations or something."

Whitney for a look on her face, like she was seriously considering this, and she was. She then bobbed her head yes so hard you might think her head was gonna roll off. "Yah! That's probably it!"

Dylan shook her head at the other girl's antics. They waited another minute or two, and, satisfied that no one was coming, Dylan stood up impatiently.

"Alright, it looks like we'll have to do this alone. Do you think you can lift it? Even a little?"

Whitney grinned "can I lift it?" She asked cockily and blew out a breath. The younger girl stood up and rubbed her hands together, she grabbed the edge of the tire, and started attempting to lift it, her face turned red, and her muscles strained, she even stopped breathing in her attempt to lift the tire, but it wouldn't budge.

The tire was wedged up firmly against a rock, and they probably wouldn't be able to lift it over by themselves. Dylan sighed. This probably wouldn't work, but she was going to try anyway.

"You can stop, I've got an idea."

She ran around to the other side of the tire and pushed. The side that was stuck on the rock stayed put, but, as she suspected, her side slowly lifted off the ground.

WHitney watched Dylan. her mouth dropped in amazement as she watched Dylan. she grinned and ran over to Dylan and hugged the other girl. "DILLY YOUR DOING IT!!!"

Dylan let out a breathy laugh as she felt the smaller girl's arms around her. The tire was now completely upright and partially leaning against the rock.

"Alright, Whitney, help me roll it," she said, turning it and starting to roll it toward the finish line.
