The darkness.

Do you really know it takes,
To walk through these lakes,
Not to be drawn away,
The path may look grey,
But there’ll be light at the end,
Through all every single bend,
You will draw slowly near,
To all you hold dear,
Don’t step into the dark,
It’ll leave a deadly mark,
I know, you know it’s true,
The mistakes you can’t undo,
You saw me live though them,
I know it’s me you did condemn,
And yet, if it wasn’t for my flaws,
I would have lost my cause,
I wouldn’t be able to stand,
I’d have sunk in the sand,
And waited for the darkness,
My thoughts are lightless,
They go around and around,
My mind, clearly unsound,
Brings all this doubt,
And makes me want out.
