Another HP poem. Also about Snape again XD


The Darling Dead

He choked on burning tears and held her tight.
Though she had long since left, her corpse remained
And it he clasped ‒ his face a stricken white ‒
While hers with all the tears he cried was stained.
Still, knowing he had lead death to her door,
He shook as much in guilt as in his pain.
(Her husband, lying cold upon the floor,
Had sought to block death’s path and sought in vain.)
But through the dusty room resounded cries:
The child yet lived and through him so did she!
And lo! He saw he had his mother’s eyes,
And in that moment glimpsed his destiny:
He’d work until his sins had been appeased
And sorrow-stricken heart by death was eased.

I like it. I can easily tell it's Snape's POV on finding Lily and seeing that Harry has her eyes. It's awesome. The poem style was really good as well in usage of the content. Overall, very cool dude.
