Mordred stayed awake for as long as he could, just enjoying being beside his wife, before falling into a much needed sleep.

it was hours before Morgous lightly knocked on their door.

Mordred moaned and stirred. "Who is it?"

Morgous opened the door and stepped in. she put her finger to her lips to tell Mordred to be quiet as she pointed to a sleeping, but stirring Mythian, who went right back to sleep. Morgous gestured for Mordred to follow her.

Mordred raised a suspicious eyebrow and frowned, but carefully slipping out of bed and following Morgous. As soon as they were in the hall, he asked, "What is it?"

"Is she pregnant yet?" Morgous asked

Mordred blinked. That wasn't what he'd been expecting. Considering her, he said slowly, "There's a good chance, but she isn't certain yet. Why do you ask?"

"Just wondering, I heard you did your job, you did well Mordred" Morgous nodded.

"Thank you," he murmured dropping his gaze. Slowly, he lifted his hand and displayed the ring. "Could you take this off? The draining process is uncomfortable and makes it difficult to focus. I want to wear my wedding ring again too."

Morgous nodded and easily took off the ring then gave him back his wedding ring.

The sudden release made Mordred moan in relief. Slipping his wedding band back on, he met her gaze. "Do you need me to do something soon, or can Mythian and I visit the castle at the sea?"

"You can have the castle, keep in mind, I do not know the condition of it. Oh and Mordred, make sure she has a boy" Morgous said before walking off.

"How do I ensure it's a boy?" Mordred muttered. With a sigh, he reentered the room and stretched out beside Mythian again, gentle stroking her hair.

Mythian stirred then fluttered her eyes open and looked at Mordred

Kissing her lightly, he caressed her cheek. "How'd you sleep, dear?"

Mythian smiled "It was amazing" she yawned "I missed sleeping with you"

"You have the chance to be by my side for a while longer," he told her. "We have permission to go to the castle on the sea."

Mythian instantly sat up, the blanket around her dropping and exposing her as she got out of the bed "lets go then!"

"Clothes first, Myth," he reminded her with a laugh. Standing up, he offered her a dress.

Mythian looked down and her face burned red. she grabbed the dress and began getting dressed. "I forgot, sorry"

"Why are you apologizing?" Mordred asked. "I've seen you before, Red Lady."

Mythian shrugged "I don't know...It just came out" she laughed a little

"I'll go have a carriage prepared," he smiled. "Why don't you get ready and get some food?"

Mythian nodded "wont you eat?"

"I'll join you after I get the carriage ready and tell Gawain to head back to Camelot with a few requests," Mordred replied.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for you" Mythian said as she continued getting ready.

Giving her a quick peck on the cheek, Mordred headed for the stables. It didn't take long for him to arrange for their ride and find Gawain. After exchanging news, Mordred made his request. Gawain frowned, but agreed to try.
Entering the kitchen, Mordred glanced around in search of Mythian.

Mythian was finishing up her plate. "Mordred" she greeted with a smile.

"We'll be ready in an hour," Mordred told her as he grabbed a loaf of bread. Biting into it, he glanced at her. "How are you feeling?"

Mythian shrugged "I feel...amazing" she replied with a smile "what did you ask Gawain to do?"
